If I look tired and irritable in my belly pic this week, it’s because I’m both tired and irritable.
How far along: 30 weeks – only 10 weeks to go now! Unless I’m one of the many first timers who overshoot their due date by another week.
Baby size: Babycentre is saying that Lil’ Ziggy is about 15.7 inches long, and weighs almost 3 whole lbs. From now on, he’ll mostly just be putting on weight rather than getting a whole lot longer (I hope).
Belly: I don’t really FEEL bigger, but I think my belly is ever so slightly more out there than last week.
Sleep: Same old… Having trouble falling and staying asleep. I think it was the night after Boxing Day, I ended up spending most of the night on the couch. Pro: Got rid of all traces of puffiness from being on my feet all day on Christmas. Con: REALLY sore back in the morning.
Clothes: I may or may not have ordered another pair of work pants, two nursing tank tops and two nursing bras from Thyme during their Boxing Week Sale. I have two pairs of maternity dress pants, both the exact same brand, style and size, but for some reason my black pair feels tighter. So hopefully this one fits a little nicer.
Movement: Ziggy’s back to being a regular circus again. I’m feeling him all over my lower belly, which is awesome. Not too many kicks in the ribs, but he definitely enjoys using my bladder as a punching bag.
Food cravings/aversions: None this week. I’m definitely chocolated out from Christmas though.
What I miss: Moving fast. I feel like a burden when I walk with my coworkers to lunch. Wait up for the preggo!
Preparing for birth: This isn’t really birth-related per se, but part of the reason why I’m not in the super happiest of moods today is because I’ve been researching baby strollers for DAYS and it is SO. FRUSTRATING. The worst part is that I now am finally close to making a decision, only to find that the one I think I want is sold out in a bunch of stores! And most stores don’t really care about Boxing Week anyway when it comes to strollers, so I’m not even getting a deal!
I’m thinking of getting the BOB Revolution:
Or the Phil & Teds Navigator:
Both of them require a car seat adapter in order to fit an infant car seat. Only the BOB Revolution is classified as a “jogger”. Only the Navigator can be converted into a double with a second seat. Both are rated highly on most stroller sites (though the BOB is rated SUPER high, even the highest, on some).
Part of me is sort of leaning towards the Revolution because it’ll encourage me to jog. I actually like jogging, though I’m no good at it. It also retains its value well so when I need a double, I won’t be out so much money when I sell it.
The Navigator, on the other hand, doesn’t even need to be sold if and when I need a double stroller. I would just add the second seat and voila.
The biggest problem with BOTH these strollers right now is that I’d have to purchase the car seat adapter and car seat at different stores, not altogether, due to several websites being sold out of at least one part of the package. Aaaaand there are no Boxing Day sales to be found on the BOB (though I can get 15% off the Navigator at one place).
And so there is my conundrum. I have a feeling I’d ultimately be happy with either. I’m just so worried about making the wrong decision. It’s so hard to know what I’ll REALLY want and need when the wee one is actually here. In any case, I’m going to sleep on it and then probably make a final decision tomorrow. I’ll report back with which one I end up choosing.
Here is an adorable picture of one of the most photogenic kitties I know, Miss Sophie:
